My grandfather used to say, "Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one", due to the fact that as the world progressed with the advancement of technology, people became more belligerent for no particular reason other than to become validated in the world over opinions they refused to have a civilized adult conversation over. Our government and social media failed to recognize early on the devastation of catering to opinions would have; instead, opinions nowadays are used like chemical warfare to justify all kinds of behaviors, acts of aggression, manipulation, misconduct, breach of security, breach of privacy, abuse, inappropriate media propaganda, et cetera.
